No time to waste. Langhorne has been busy working her way into a regular part of the Mystics’ team makeup.

Just back from China and playing with the U.S. National team, Langhorne joined the Mystics in training camp. She has some work to do adapting to new teammates, coaching and plays. Luckily, says Langhorne, the Mystics’ style is similar to Maryland’s with many of the same plays.

“I got about 30 plays today,” Langhorne said. “But as I go along and as more players come in from overseas I’ll be able to pick things up pretty fast.”

On the first day of camp, Langhorne lived up to expectations as she and Niki Blue connected on the court.

“The first hour she’s here I probably had three assists to her,” Blue said. “I’ll be running the fast break and she’ll beat me down the court — as a post player. You don’t see that too often. I’m definitely a fan already and I’m excited to play with her.”
